Digestion-Supporting Cordial Recipe for the Holidays

Although many people think of cordials—also known as liqueurs—as cocktail ingredients, they can also be potent and delicious digestifs. DIY cordials can be simple with just two or three ingredients or you can make them more complex by blending bitter and aromatic botanicals to delight your nose and palate. Either way, they are one of the easiest herbal recipes you can make: put herbs in a jar, add neutral spirits, shake it now and again, and wait. That’s it. And when you make a cordial with digestion-supporting herbs and spices, you turn this delicious little liqueur into a highly effective digestif. Best of all, we’ve got just enough time to make a cordial for the winter holidays! To get you started, here’s a festive midwinter cordial recipe that is the perfect finish to a hearty cold-weather meal when you’re relaxing in the company of your favorite people.

Herbal Tea Blend Recipe For Meditation

Herbal Tea Blend Recipe For Meditation

I am not known for my ability to sit still. I am always moving, shaking, and thinking of all of the things that need to get done. This is the main reason that meditation has always been a bit of a struggle for me. I really enjoy it and see its vast benefits, but this act of slowing down does not come easily to me. So, I was delighted to discover that I could reach for some trusted herbal allies to help me slow down, break the cycle of an overactive mind, and sit still for longer than five minutes.

Not only does the act of brewing and sipping tea help to start the process of slowing down, but the herbs themselves begin to prepare my mind and body for the upcoming practice. The blend I am going to share here is made up of six ingredients that all play a special role in helping to quiet the mind, release tension in the body, and please the tastebuds at the same time.

We say it’s time to combine old-school wellness-supporting herbs with new-school festive mulled ciders!

This comforting, delicious, healthful mulled cider recipe includes traditional warming spices such as cinnamon, allspice, and cloves with the botanical boost of immune-supporting elderberries and astragalus. Salud!
